I started by gessoing the pages and then using texture paste and a brick wall stencil. I colour washed it with Granite Dylusions spray. The title was cut using the Cameo with SU paper.
The entry itself was inspired by the line about the rooms all being empty so I found some room plans on the internet and some silhouettes of a man and woman. I embossed them with a Kasiercraft script stamp and then put them facing away from each other to reflect the song lyrics. I hope Nigel likes it.
As this was the last stop there wasn't a lot to add to any of the other entries but I was inspired to add my Tim Holtz dancing lion to the entry about Radio Luxembourg. Virginia had added a wooden crown saying God Save the Queen and when I saw it the lion was the perfect accompaniment. I have really enjoyed this CJ and will miss it arriving each month to work on.
I have started a new CJ based on Science Fiction over on UKScrappers and this was my first entry for it. The CJ theme was Roswell the show which I have to admit to knowing nothing about really. I did some googling though and came up with a voiceover quote from Liz the main character about the dangers of following your heart and I used that as my inspiration. Stars are an important part of the Roswell story as well as the love story so I used a star mask and some Perfect Pearls to give it an out of this world quality and fit the rest of the CJ design itself. I then embossed the big stars with silver using some Banana Frog stamps as well as a heart stamp that is an unknown brand and the images from the show. I distressed the quote and printed it on some more SU paper that has a grungy look that fitted the theme. Hopefully Natasha likes it when it returns home to her. The silver hand rub ons are an addition she included for each entry as a requirement of the CJ.
